Tuesday Morning

A reminder that this Friday is Creativity Day as part of our Lenten fundraising initiative.  Children are encouraged to use their imaginations and come to school dressed creatively. Today, the students finished editing their letters which focussed on how we can support "Stewardship of Creation" which is our focus for the upcoming Gospel Values Assembly in April.  They have also created a media advertisement to encourage others to respect our earth and all of its inhabitants. In Language, we are working on extending our understanding of how to write a persuasive text.  Today, we looked at an example of writing samples ranging from levels one through four.  Our focus was on the organization of the text and the importance of using strong words and phrases to encourage our readers to adopt our point of view. In math, we are continuing to work towards mastering our multiplication tables up to and including 9 x 9.  The students know there will be a pop quiz sometime this week.  A reminder are due Friday.
