Friday Mornig

Thank you to those students who returned their Reading Logs today.  We learned about different strategies for calculating elapsed time (e.g., mountains and hills, t-chart) and practised reading analog clocks. Students also worked with a partner to solve and elapsed time problem with the focus being on communicating their strategies and writing a concluding sentence to explain their thinking.  Our class reviewed key features of a paragraph (beginning, middle and end) and discussed the importance of a topic sentence to attract our readers attention and a final sentence to tie our thoughts together.  Just a reminder the Book Challenge is due December 7th. On this day students will be sharing their answers with the class (on the page provided) and showing the new book cover they have designed.  Thank you for your ongoing support and have a wonderful weekend!
