Monday Morning

After being away Thursday and Friday, I was so happy to see so many smiling faces this morning.  Please note there will not be any regular math homework this week (although unfinished class work may go home).  In their homework duotangs, your son or daughter has a reading log sheet and a language sheet to complete.  Your child is welcome to do their language homework electronically and share it with me on a google doc should they choose. Today, we visited the Learning Commons to read and exchange books, students continued working on their monologues, and we corrected some math work which centred around identifying the differences between acute, right and obtuse angles.  The class also had a chance to look at a great website called "mathfrog.ca" to explore geometry games. (The link to this site can be found on this blog or under the student portal link). This is a great site geared towards grades 4, 5 and 6 which is run by the University of Waterloo.
