Wednesday Morning

We continued learning about telling time this morning using both a digital and analog clock.  The students worked with a partner to solve a problem related to elapsed time and had the opportunity to develop their own time problem which they will be able to challenge their classmates to solve.  An example: Your flight leaves at 3:00 pm.  At noon, you eat your lunch for 10 minutes, have a shower for 15 minutes, pack your bag for 20 minutes. It takes 45 minutes to drive to the airport.  How much time will you be waiting for your plane at the airport?  In Language Arts, we continued learning about summaries.  Together, we read "Perfect Man" which is a narrative about a boy and a superhero.  The students then used a graphic organizer to identify key details of the story which they will use to write a summary.
