Monday Morning

Our weekly homework program has begun! Homework will be distributed on Mondays and will be due the Friday of the same week.  Your son or daughter is coming home with a Reading Log and there is a detailed note outlining the format of our homework program as well as four math questions.  The math questions can be shared through google docs or simply written on the paper provided.  As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.  In Math, we have turned our attention to rounding numbers and the students had the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of place value with respect to four-digit numbers.  Tomorrow, we will be completing a review sheet on place value and there will be a brief quiz this Thursday.  In Language Arts, we are continuing with our read aloud and the children drew one of the main characters, Fudge, as they visualized him.  In Religion, we discussed the recent visit of Pope Francis to the United States and reflected on the importance of saying "thank you" to God every day.
