As we continue to develop our ability to write fluently, the grade four students had the opportunity to "bump up" a piece of writing called "Winter Tunnels." The task was to develop a more interesting text with sentences of varying length; beginning with different words and using a variety of punctuation. We then looked at what a good example of a "bumped up" piece of writing would be. In Family Life, we discussed the role of commitment in our lives and reflected on our own commitments. In our Math Block, the children practised their multiplication skills. We ended our morning by reviewing our Math Task tomorrow morning which will be to work collaboratively to develop Anchor Charts to further develop our understanding of geometry. Also, a reminder that we are scheduled to use the snowshoes during Block Two so please have your son/daughter dress warmly. Have a great evening!
